Partner, Investment Advisor

Nella is a Partner at Ocean Heights, and has over 30 years of experience providing investment and financial planning services to clients throughout Southern California.

Nella joined Ocean Heights after 12 years in business development and client service roles at Miracle Mile Advisors and Palo Capital. Previously, she served in senior management roles at US Trust, Wilmington Trust, First American Trust and First Foundation Bank. Nella currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Chapman University and has served on boards for the Girl Scouts of Orange County, Mission Plasticos Foundation, Orange County United Way, Women Helping Women, and The Pacific Symphony 100.

Nella received the Distinguished Alumna award from Chapman University in 2019, and was named “Outstanding Philanthropist” for Orange County at the 2020 National Philanthropy Day.

Nella earned her bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from Chapman University and an M.B.A. in Marketing and Finance from California State University, Long Beach. She also holds the Certified Financial Planner® designation. She serves on Chapman University’s Investment Committee and previously chaired the Friends of the Girl Scouts Trust.

Some interesting facts about Nella

She Is known in Orange County as the “Queen of Connecting.”
Nella was born in Panama, but grew up on Guam. She brought her surfboard with her when she came to Chapman University.
She spends much of her free time in nonprofit work, currently serving on six boards.
